Here they come, zooming to meet our thunderĭown we dive, spouting our flame from underĪnd then my most favorite one, I Sing A Song For America We are proud to claim the title, of “United States Marine”. We fight our country’s battle, in the air, on land and sea.įirst we’ll fight for right and freedom, and to keep our honor clean. *this first song is where I suddenly got hit by a joyous feeling I almost cried myself while I was singing!*įrom the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli Over hill, over dale, we have hit the dusty trailĬounter march, right about, hear those wagon soldiers shout,įor it’s Hi! Hi! Hee! In the Field ArtilleryĪnd where e'er we go, you will always know Begitu kita nyanyi, satu per satu tentara-tentara itu berdiri, dan terharu banget ngeliatnya, aku ngga pernah merasa sebahagia itu waktu lagi nyanyi, aku hampir nangis tapi karena terlalu bahagia jadi ketahan deh haha) (Jadi lagu Armed Forces Salute ini lebih ke medley gitu terdiri dari lagu-lagu tentang pasukan angkatan laut, darat dan udara. As an opening we sang the song Armed Forces Salute and to a big surprise, something so emotional hit me and in instant I felt extremely happy and touched, for almost all of the veterans stood up, yes they stood up, as we sang the song of their armed forces (I hope I got this right, correct me if I’m wrong). We arrived there and put our coats in this one room before we finally lined up to the room where the ceremony took place.

Kelly said it’s an extremely large nursing home, but to me, it seems more like an independent, mini town for the veterans who fought for the wars (prajurit/tentara angkatan laut/darat/udara yang dulu berperang)… because it has its own bowling alley, grocery store, even a movie theatre! It also directly faces the Chain O'Lakes so it certainly has such a beautiful scene. The Wisconsin Veterans Home is a really cool place. The bus picked us up at 09.45 which afterwards brought us to the Veterans Home! Every girls who are in Treble Clef Choir left their third hour. I started the day with some beauteous singing in Women’s Chorale–whose concert will be coming up soon, December 18th–and then I continued to the last rehearsal of my Choir class. I put on a little bit of make up not for no good reason–me and my Treble Clef Choir class had our first performance today at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in occasion of the Veterans Day. Hannah wore her American flag socks today and I wore one of my nicest batik dress.
